Why Thomson Linear Actuators?

For more than 50 years and in various applications such as agricultural machines, material handling, medical devices, factory automation among others, powerful Thomson electric linear actuators have set the standard for long-life, heavy duty performance. Built from rugged, high-quality components, these 24v and 12v linear actuators require zero maintenance, don’t leak fluids and are simple to integrate into existing automation processes. Our “smart” heavy duty linear actuators have been integrated with a printed circuit board to provide advanced control options and enhanced performance.

  • These smart electromechanical actuators are highlighted by onboard electronics that can eliminate the need for standalone controls. Higher power (up to 16 kN) opens a new, wider range of hydraulic applications to electric conversion. And they meet the most extreme OEM component environmental acceptance tests, including IP69K.

Electrak HD Linear Actuators: Details and Product Filter
  • Designed as a smaller sibling to the Electrak HD actuator, these smart electric linear actuators pack a big punch relative to their compact size and dutifully perform in the harshest environments without the need for service or maintenance. Onboard controls open the door to a wide range of possibilities, including CAN bus options and low-level switching with or without position feedback.

  • As a trailblazer in the next evolution of electric actuators, the Thomson Electrak XD delivers enough power to replace hydraulic systems – while being smarter, more compact, and more efficient than competing technologies. In addition to its strength (maximum dynamic load up to 25,000 N), the XD is highly resistant to harsh operating conditions and the ingress of water and dirt. Thanks to its onboard electronics, it also offers enhanced control and diagnostic capabilities.

Ushering in the next evolution of electric actuators, the Thomson Electrak XD is strong enough to take on hydraulic applications while, at the same time, be smarter, smaller and more efficient than competitive technologies. On top of its strength (up to 25,000 N loads), the XD offers extensive protection against even the harshest conditions and ingress, and features enhanced controllability and diagnostics via onboard controls.

  • The Electrak® LA 24 actuator is designed for rugged and robust applications. With both ball and acme screw drive options and coupled through a gear train to an AC motor, these actuators feature strong and reliable quality construction with an aluminium cover tube and T-slots for position sensor mounting.

Electrak LA-24 Linear Actuators: (available soon)
  • Electrak® LA14 is based on the Electrak 10 design, which incorporates a screw drive system for applications requiring maximum load capacity, robust performance, and long life. Its additional benefits offer the a built-in anti rotation mechanism and an aluminium cover tube. The aluminium cover tube has T-slots that can be used for mounting and also accepts magnetic sensor to be fitted along two sides of the tube.
