Collection: Thomson Lifting Columns DMD
This height adjustment capability especially serves work environments that need to meet specific ergonomic requirements for a wide range of operator positions.
Rugged and robust, these columns provide high load torque capability in an extruded anodized aluminum, self-supporting frame. Incorporated into the design are Thomson's Electrak actuator units in both acme and ball screw versions.
Mid and end of stroke protections include an overload clutch along a T-slot groove design throughout the entire column profile.

-
Maintenance free
Designed for long-term use without maintenance.
Filter
-
Voltage
The nominal voltage required to operate the actuator.
-
Screw Type
Actuators use different types of screws depending on the configuration and load requirements of the actuator: Ball screws are highly efficient and are used for high loads and speeds. Lead screws withstand vibration and shock better and are used for applications with these characteristics.
-
Nominal Stroke
This value is the maximum extension of the actuator system itself. Your max application length should be within the selected range. Each system, however, can be ordered in shorter standard or customizable lengths.
-
Travel Rate @ No Load
The maximum speed of the system without any load.
-
Travel Rate @ Full Load
DC actuators have a direct load/speed relationship. As the load increases, the speed of the dc actuators decreases. There are curves on each product in the catalog to show the speed from no load to full rated load.
-
Feedback
No Feedback - Encoder or Potentiometer feedback is not included. LC models come with limit switches.
Potentiometer – Potentiometers provide an analog output signal that can be used to determine the position of the extension tube. A potentiometer will “remember” its position if power is removed and restored.
